Casey Kasem was an American DJ, radio personality, and actor who was best known for co-creating and hosting the syndicated radio program "American Top 40" from 1970 to 2009. He also provided the voice for numerous cartoon characters, including Shaggy in the animated series "Scooby-Doo."
"Generation Kill" is a miniseries based on Evan Wright's book of the same name. The series follows the 1st Reconnaissance Battalion of the United States Marine Corps during the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Kasem provided the voice for Col. Stephen "Godfather" Ferrando in the series, which aired on HBO in 2008. This was one of Kasem's final acting roles before his death in 2014.
